Warto nadmienić, iż podczas dostaw lokomotyw z USA, w wyniku katastrofy statku utracono trzy lokomotywy serii 661.2 ( nr 272,273 i 276). W zamian za utracone pojazdy, GM wyprodukował dodatkowe lokomotywy oznaczone tymi samymi numerami fabrycznymi.
