30 august 2010 - Machynlleth-Pwllheli steam charter approaches Barmouth. Train crosses River Mawddach on Barmouth Bridge. The bridge was built in 1867, it was constructed entirely of wood. Northern end of the bridge, was rebuilt in 1901 as a swing bridge with two steel spans. Construction length is 900 yards, it carries single track and footpath.
