Kolins, PKPE numeruje stonki wedle numeru fabrycznego pojazdu. Wyjątkiem jest jedna SM42-1043, gdzie po prostu "zjedzono" jedno zero w numerze fabrycznym (10043), albo ustalili, że max 4 znaki na numer będzie.
