Reißeck-Höhenbahn: inclined plane

8 august 2007 - Reißeck-Höhenbahn, Seenplateau-Berghotel Reißeck. It looks like a roller-coaster, but this track is "just" the inclined plane connecting the lower and the upper sections of the Reißeck-Höhenbahn. Freight cars can move up and down pulled by a hoist placed at the high terminal of the plane. A photo taken from up looking down is available here.

Here we are at 2287 m over the sea level, close to the upper terminal of the passenger section. From here an inclined plane connects this part of the railway with a higher section, used just to reach some dams built in the area at little more than 2400 m.
